  AutoNexus Goes Live with GM Holden Colorado

  AutoNexus Pty Ltd team are pleased to announce the Go Live with the Vehicle Logistics for GM Holden Colorado’s.  This project commenced with the winning of a successful tendering process on 19th April 2010, with a fast start solution deploying AutoNexus SAP system platform to effectively communicate in a real time mode integration to GM Holden Vehicle Information System (VIM) with the first vessel landing 3rd July 2010 of 388 Colorado’s.
   
  The AutoNexus solution with GM Holden covers a range of services from vehicle logistics, storage and processing, special builds, demand planning and forecasting and an innovative web based portal allowing all 300 GM Holden retailers to access their vehicles order to delivery status from "on water to delivery".
   
  This project was achieved in a very short time period and engaged various people from many areas with special relationships with AutoNexus, being Stream Consulting Technologies (SAP partner), Pretty Pollution (web designer) and Inchcape Business Solutions (web database).
   
  John Holt, Project Manager for the GM Holden Colorado Implementation Program commented “... A solid start, with the first vehicles being built in Eagle Farm and despatched for transport on Day 2.  This great result, for our newest Brand Partner and their Retail Network, could not have been achieved without careful planning, a well controlled and organised implementation, an outstanding contribution from it’s Implementation partners and the AutoNexus Implementation Project Team and the efforts of Vehicles Operations staff...  a terrific Team effort.”

  Since the launch of our previous Web site a few years ago, the Team at AutoNexus have been working to incorporate feedback from internal and external users to make the Web site more user-friendly and organized based on tasks that our customers perform regularly.
  
  The AutoNexus homepage has been a prominent site for our logistics customers as both a source of information and as a place to conduct business. The new Web site offers a simple and clean design that significantly improves navigation and functionality.
  
  Among the new features and properties included in the new design are:
  
  

  • New look and feel
  • Improved navigation paths
  • New search capability and two way interaction functionality
  • Self-service area for quick access to information on your services

  At AutoNexus, we pride ourselves on having highly skilled logistic specialists to deliver premium quality service, help to maximise profit and reduce costs for our customers. Now with innovative online solutions, we can offer you a path to achieve true operational excellence.
  
  With this in mind, a new system which is also being launched, initially to our General Motors Holden Customers is the new AutoNexus Order to Delivery System (AOTD). AOTD is a web-based vehicle tracking system which allows our Brand Partners and Retailers to access up to date vehicle status information during the supply chain process.
  
  The website captures vehicle data from the Vehicle status of "On Water" to the status of "Despatched" to the Retailer. In addition to the vehicle status, we will provide an Estimated Completion Date (ECD) for each vehicle that is active in the supply chain process. This information is drawn from the AutoNexus SAP System into the AOTD database so that, when an enquiry is requested via the website, it can be accessed in a timely manner.
  
  Historical information (e.g. 30 days post despatch or shipping information for vehicles not yet landed) is updated on the web database daily but vehicles "Active" in the supply chain (e.g. within the wharf receipt to despatch processes) are accurate to within 15 minutes.
  
  This system will assist you with your day to day business. We have included in this notification your credentials to access the AOTD system. Needless to say, over the next few months, we welcome your feedback on not only the new website but also our AOTD system.

  Maternity Leave appointment

  I am pleased to announce the appointment of Teresa Listowski to the position of Credit Controller, based at Greystanes head office.
  
  Teresa joins the team today on a 12-month contract and will be responsible for managing the overall credit function for ANX while Belinda Bilaver takes maternity leave. Teresa has had extensive experience in finance, credit and office administration in both public and private sector organisations and most recently held the position of assistant accountant.
  
  Belinda will remain in the role to assist with the transition period before commencing her leave in a few weeks time.

  Changes to Victorian Operations

  It is important for us to continually assess and align our organisational structure and business model to best suit our overall strategic direction and services to our customers.  Winning the Special Build Program tender in Victoria, has given us the opportunity to create career development opportunities for our staff as part of our Talent Development focus.
  
  For this reason, the following changes will take effect on Wednesday, 17th June, to the AutoNexus Victoria Vehicle and CarTech Operations structure to enable our continued focus on delivering Performance Excellence, Customer Fulfilment and People Engagement.
  
   
  Andrew Gilbert, Business Manager, Southern Region, will take on full accountability for the CarTech Altona business, with specific responsibility for the Special Build Program.  Andrew will report to me in this capacity.  In additional to this, Andrew will continue to have responsibility for the Holden Colorado implementation project and current Business Development portfolio. Harry Chan, currently Processing Manager at Altona Vehicles, has been seconded to CarTech Altona with responsibility for the day-to-day operations and P&L of the site, including the Special Build Program.  This secondment is for a six month period to drive customer service and business execution.  Harry will report directly to Andrew Gilbert during the period of secondment. Ben Roberts, will continue to coordinate the CarTech Altona operations team as Production Supervisor and will report directly to Harry Chan.
  
  
  Bob Stow, as Vehicle Operations Manager, Southern Region will manage the Victorian Vehicle Altona Operations business and continue the success of the current operations, drive and execute the GM Holden implementation project for the state. Brett Czarny, has been seconded to the role of Processing Manager Altona, and will continue to report to Bob Stow. Anthony Holloway who has undergone a stringent development program during the past 12 months has now been seconded to the role of Pre Delivery Supervisor for a period of 6 months.  Anthony will report to Bob Stow.
  
  
  Todd Somerville will remain in the role as Production Manager and will be totally accountable for the CarTech Services Brunswick business operation and Vic Police customer relationship program and will continue to report directly to myself.

  Changes to Vehicle Operations NSW

  In line with our organisational development strategy and business growth we would like to announce the following growth and development opportunities within the team.  We believe these changes will equip us to improve our efficiencies, promote a local focus in New South Wales and drive ultimate customer service levels within the organisation.
   
  The following changes will take effect on Monday, 17th May, to the AutoNexus NSW Vehicle Operations structure to enable our continued focus on delivering Performance Excellence, Customer Fulfilment and People Engagement.
   
  Terry Spinks has been appointed to the role of NSW State Manager – Vehicles, located at Rosehill and reporting to myself.  Terry will be accountable for coordinating and delivering the growth, customer centricity and the operation of the NSW Vehicles and Car-Tech business (Rosehill and Port Kembla), to ensure achievement and improvement of KPIs and delivering on service excellence for our Brand Partners and driving our people development plans.
  
  Sam Markos will take on the position of Rosehill Operations Manager and be accountable for the recently integrated Vehicles and Car-Tech business, operating from Rosehill.  Sam will be reporting to Terry.
   
  Michael Howard is also confirmed in his role at Port Kembla as Port Kembla Operations Manager.  Michael will be reporting to Terry.

  Russel Bary joins ANX as Qld State Manager

  I am pleased to announce the appointment of Russel Bary to the position of QLD State Manager, based at the AutoNexus Eagle Farm vehicle compound.
  
  Russel will join the team on Monday 10 May reporting directly to myself and will be accountable for all activities of processing and distribution of our QLD business, including Brisbane and Townsville operations, to deliver the AutoNexus goals of Performance Excellence, Customer Fulfilment and People Engagement at the highest level to ensure the integrity of the AutoNexus Parts and Vehicles logistics brand. Russel will also be involved in actively identifying business growth opportunities and building client relationships.
  
  Russel is an experienced operations manager with extensive management experience at state level attained in the waste management sector and also 10 years of management experience within the hospitality industry.

  Kelvyn Richards promoted to Production Coordinator for Car-Tech Services Brunswick

  I am pleased to announce that Kelvyn Richards has been promoted to the position of  Production Coordinator for Car-Tech Services Brunswick VIC operations.
  
  Kelvyn will move into the role effective today, and reporting to the VIC Production Manager, will be responsible for coordinating the daily operating activities of the Brunswick production unit and external customers to achieve planned KPIs in accordance with the production schedule. Kelvyn’s role will also involve developing customer relationships by developing service and quality strategies to support the business and implement this strategy through the Workshop Team.
  
  Prior to this promotion, Kelvyn was responsible for leading a team of Fit Technicians in the quality control area, and during this time, displayed great commitment to the team.

  Inventory Services changes

  With the recently announced leadership changes to the Inventory Services team, I am pleased to announce 2 further movement, which will see further strengthening of the IS team.
  
  Shirley Chambers has been promoted to the position of Inventory Services Team Leader, reporting to the Inventory Services Manager. In her new role, Shirley will be responsible for leading the IS and Dealer Support teams to promote best practice development in forecasting, procurement, inventory control, supplier and customer relationship management to exceed our customer’s expectations. Shirley has had extensive experience within inventory management and will no doubt bring a great deal to the role.
  
  With Shirley’s move, Jennifer Le has been promoted to the position of Supply Chain Coordinator. Jennifer will be responsible for administering the forecast and procurement responsibilities for our brand partners, with a special focus on the Proton/ Lotus business. Jennifer has progressed strongly in her position as Logistics Coordinator and this role will allow her to take on greater responsibilities within the team.

  Don McWaters joins AutoNexus as Pre-Delivery Supervisor for WA

  I am pleased to announce the appointment of Don McWaters to the position of Pre-Delivery Supervisor for WA Vehicle Operations based at Canning Vale WA.
  
  Reporting to the WA Vehicle Operations Manager, Don will be responsible for ensuring that all pre-delivery, accessory and parts fitments are delivered at the highest standard to meet customer expectations, identify areas for improvement, as well as training and supervising the pre-delivery team.
  
  Don is trade qualified in automotive mechanical and automotive electrical with many years of industry experience and was most recently with Ultimate 4WD Accessories as the Workshop Manager.
  
  Don will replace Tasman Reed, who has done a great job during his 4.5 years with the company, and will be retiring. Tasman will remain with us in the interim to assist with the transition period.

  Changes to Parts and Inventory Services

  We are pleased to announce the following changes to the AutoNexus Parts Operation & Inventory Services team to enable our continued focus on delivering Operational Excellence and Customer Centricity.
  
  Allan Jackson has been appointed to the position of National Parts & Supply Chain Manager, continuing to report to myself. In his new position, Allan will continue to manage the National Parts Distribution and Inventory Services teams, as well as extending his strategic focus to oversee the Supply Chain Team, including SAP, Quality Assurance and Client Relations.
  
  Derek Craig has been promoted to a new role of Distribution Centre Manager Parts NSW. Reporting to Allan, Derek will be responsible for overseeing the development and growth of the 3 Sydney distribution centres (Greystanes, Homebush and Wetherill Park) to ensure achievement and improvement of KPIs and delivering on service excellence for our Brand Partners.  Derek will drive the organisational and people development agenda across Parts Distribution for NSW.
  
  As part of our talent review and career development planning processes, Rod Mullins has been promoted to the position of Inventory Services Manager to lead the Inventory Services and Dealer Support team. Reporting directly to Allan, Rod will move from his current position as the Inventory Services Team Leader and will be responsible for driving and delivering performance excellence, enhancing our customer relationships and people engagement. He will be responsible for the continued delivery and improvement of our required KPI’s to ensure customer requirements are met and/or exceeded, including the formulation, development and implementation of purchasing strategies.

  Ben Roberts appointed Production Supervisor

  We are pleased to announce that Ben Roberts has been appointed to the position of Production Supervisor for Car-Tech Services Altona VIC operations.
  
  Ben will move into the role effective today, and reporting to the VIC Production Manager Car-Tech Services, will be responsible for supervising the operating activities of the Altona Car-Tech operation to ensure daily production schedules are achieved to meet customer quality and service levels, to develop customer relationships to support the Car-Tech business and work with the Production Manager to identify areas for improvement and develop strategies to address these areas.
  
  Ben has been with AutoNexus since October 2008 and will transfer from his current role as Production Coordinator for our Car-Tech Brunswick operation, where he has performed solidly and done a good job with the development of the Team. Ben will replace Sam Jabra who has decided to pursue other opportunities outside of AutoNexus.

  Barry Collings transfers to Melbourne Distribution Centre

  We are pleased to announce that Barry Collings has been appointed as the Warehouse Manager MDC to lead our Derrimut warehouse operations, based at Derrimut VIC.
  
  Barry will transfer from his current role as the Vehicle Operations Manager – Northern Region at Eagle Farm QLD to Derrimut on 27 January 2010. Reporting directly to myself, Barry will be responsible for coordinating all aspects related to the Derrimut warehouse operation to ensure that all functions meet agreed service level agreements, exhibit service excellence and OHS compliance.
  
  Barry has been with AutoNexus for almost 3 years managing the QLD Vehicle Operation, where he has achieved a great deal with developing the business. We are pleased to be able to continue the cross fertilisation of staff between our Vehicles and Parts operations and offer opportunities for new challenges to our staff to ensure individual growth and development and to effectively utilise the talent within our business. Prior to working in vehicle operations, Barry was a Stock Management Consultant for Volvo UK for two years before transferring from Volvo Europe to Volvo Australia, where he was the National Service Marketing Manager for Volvo Australia Parts and Accessories Division.
